For FINRA-Registered Financial Advisors

You were cleared.
Why does Google still call it a complaint?

Your customer dispute was denied, dismissed or withdrawn - but the original coverage still dominates Google when prospects search your name. FamoRenovo publishes a Record of Truth that ranks the outcome alongside the original allegation - so prospects find the complete picture. The article does not disappear. The vindication, finally, appears with it.

The Problem

Why the original article still ranks - and what changes it

A Record of Truth does not erase the original allegation, the news coverage or any disclosure on BrokerCheck. It ensures the outcome ranks alongside them. Anyone searching your name finds both chapters of the story - not only the first one.

Why your vindication is invisible on Google

When the customer dispute was filed, trade publications and local press often reported on it. Those articles accumulated links, engagement and authority over months and years. When the dispute was denied, dismissed or withdrawn, the outcome received almost none of that coverage. FINRA arbitration awards are filed in legal databases, not Google's index. No journalist wrote "Advisor cleared of all customer dispute allegations."

The result is a permanent asymmetry: the allegation dominates while the vindication is invisible. A dispute denied two years ago can look identical to one where the advisor lost. Prospects researching you - and the colleagues who refer business to you - see only half the story. Even after FINRA expungement, the news coverage typically remains untouched.

A Record of Truth fills the gap

FamoRenovo creates a purpose-built vindication publication - assembled from verified FINRA arbitration awards, dismissal letters, regulatory clearances and court documentation - and builds it to rank for the same searches that surface the original allegations.

This is not online reputation management in the traditional sense. It is not review generation, social media management or LinkedIn polish. A Record of Truth is built to appear for the same searches prospects are already running - so they encounter the complete picture: the allegation and the outcome. It is structured for Google's AI Overview so that conversational search presents the full narrative, not only the first chapter.

A Record of Truth does not interact with BrokerCheck and is independent of FINRA expungement. The two address different surfaces and are complementary.

23 days

From publication to position one on Google.

In one engagement, a Record of Truth ranked above coverage that had been entrenched for years - within 23 days of publication. While timescales vary by case, this is what is achievable when a favourable outcome is properly documented and search-engineered. For a cleared FINRA-registered advisor, this means vindication documentation can rank alongside customer-dispute coverage that has dominated their search results since the original article was published. Case details held on file.

Illustrative Engagement Profile
United States Customer dispute denied Identity withheld
Before Record of Truth
Search landscape Trade and local press articles about the customer dispute ranking on page one. Outcome of the FINRA arbitration absent from all results.
AI Overview Allegation summarised as current fact. Denial or dismissal not referenced anywhere in AI-generated responses to searches for the advisor's name.
BrokerCheck Disclosure remains visible on the public record even after the dispute is denied. Expungement, if pursued, addresses BrokerCheck only.
Impact Prospects, COIs and referral partners encountering only the allegation - not the resolution. Book growth and credibility constrained by an incomplete public narrative.
After Record of Truth
Time to rank Demonstrated in one engagement: page one within 23 days of publication. Competitive ranking against entrenched coverage typically within three to six months.
Ranking result Vindication documentation ranks alongside the original customer-dispute coverage on page one of Google.
AI Overview Google's AI Overview now references the FINRA arbitration outcome alongside the original allegations - presenting the complete picture.
Documentation Full case record sourced exclusively from verified FINRA awards, court documents and regulatory filings - reviewed and approved by the subject before publication.

The outcome ranks alongside the allegation. Anyone searching the advisor's name now encounters both the customer dispute and its legal resolution - the complete record, not only the first chapter.

Common questions before the eligibility check

Removal almost never works

News articles about customer disputes are matters of public record. Google will not remove them, and publishers are not obligated to take them down even after a denial or dismissal. The article that ran when the complaint was filed continues to rank, often for many years.

FINRA expungement only addresses BrokerCheck

Expungement, where granted, removes a disclosure from BrokerCheck. It does not touch news articles, third-party aggregators, court record databases, or Google's AI Overview. Many advisors complete expungement and find the original news coverage still ranks first when they Google their name.

AI search makes it worse

Google's AI Overviews and tools like ChatGPT summarise search results into direct answers. If the dominant content about your name is the allegation, that is what the AI presents to a prospect as a confident, factual statement.

The answer is not removal alone, and not expungement alone. It is completion - creating an authoritative account of the outcome that ranks alongside the coverage that got there first.

A Record of Truth is a structured vindication publication assembled from whatever FINRA arbitration awards, dismissal letters and regulatory clearances are available for your case. It presents the case accurately - including the nature of the original allegations and precisely what the outcome document says. Nothing is included that the legal evidence does not directly support. The more documentation you can provide, the greater its ranking power. Here is what the transformation looks like in practice:

The Record of Truth is published under your name as a factual account of the proceedings - not as marketing material from you or from FamoRenovo. Prospects encounter it as structured documentation of what FINRA arbitration or the court actually found. It does what the legal process cannot: ensure the outcome is as visible as the allegation.

01

Your firm's compliance and legal team

Compliance is focused on regulatory adherence, supervisory frameworks and books-and-records obligations - not on search engine optimisation. They can certify that the dispute was denied; they cannot make the denial visible to a prospect Googling your name. Most firms have no internal mandate or capability to address residual reputational damage in search.

02

Your FINRA expungement attorney

Expungement counsel are specialists in the Rule 2080 / Rule 12805 process for removing a disclosure from BrokerCheck. That is a meaningful and separate service - and one FamoRenovo does not provide. But expungement does not touch the news article, the trade publication coverage, the third-party aggregator profile, or Google's AI Overview. Many advisors complete expungement and still find that the dominant Google result for their name is the original allegation.

03

FINRA, the SEC and state regulators

Regulatory bodies maintain registers and adjudicate disputes. They do not curate or correct the press coverage that surrounds those disputes, and they have no role in what Google ranks. A regulator finding in your favour does not, by itself, change the search result a prospect sees.

04

Generic online reputation management firms

Standard ORM for advisors focuses on review aggregation, social profile polish and content marketing. None of this addresses entrenched customer-dispute coverage in search. Soliciting LinkedIn endorsements does not displace a news article about a $4M complaint. That requires a different discipline entirely.

Common Questions

Questions advisors ask about customer disputes and Google

A Record of Truth presents the complete legal picture - including the nature of the original allegations, the proceedings, and precisely what the outcome document says. It does not overstate the significance of the result. If a customer dispute was denied at FINRA arbitration, the Record reflects that. If allegations were withdrawn rather than contested and defeated, the Record will say so. If the matter was settled with no admission, the Record describes the settlement language accurately.

The documentation determines the narrative, not the other way around. Nothing is included that the legal evidence does not directly support. The goal is not to replace one incomplete account with another - it is to ensure that a complete account exists and is visible alongside the original coverage.

Search engines rank content based on authority, engagement and freshness not legal accuracy. When a customer dispute is filed, trade publications and local press often report on it, accumulating links and authority over months or years. When the dispute is denied, dismissed or withdrawn, the outcome receives a fraction of that coverage often none at all. FINRA arbitration awards are filed in legal databases, not in formats Google can index. A Record of Truth corrects this by creating an authoritative publication of the outcome that ranks alongside the original coverage.

It can, materially. Prospects research advisors before signing engagement letters, and BrokerCheck is the first place many of them look - directly or through advisor-search aggregators that mirror its data. Even where a disclosure is denied or dismissed, what a prospect actually finds is the article reporting the original allegation, not the resolution. Centres-of-influence and referring professionals do the same kind of due diligence before making an introduction. The result is a tax on book growth and on referral conversion that compounds over time, even after the dispute is legally closed.

Initial indexing typically occurs within days to weeks of publication. In one engagement, a Record of Truth reached position one on Google within 23 days, ranking above coverage entrenched for years. Competitive first-page ranking against high-authority negative coverage typically takes three to six months. Timescales vary depending on the authority of existing coverage and the competitiveness of your name in search.

The Record of Truth is published under your name as a factual, structured record of the proceedings and their outcome - not as marketing material from you or from FamoRenovo. The commissioning of the Record is not disclosed in the publication itself, because the subject of the document is the case outcome, not your relationship with FamoRenovo. Clients and prospects encounter it as a documented account of what FINRA arbitration or the court actually found.

All case information and correspondence is handled with strict confidentiality. We do not publish client names, share case details with third parties, or reference our engagements publicly.

Indefinitely. High-authority news articles and trade publication coverage do not expire from search results. An article from seven, ten or fifteen years ago will continue to rank if no competing content of equal or greater authority exists. BrokerCheck disclosure rules are similarly persistent: many disclosure types remain on the public record for the lifetime of the registration without successful expungement. Without intervention, the original coverage will remain the dominant narrative permanently. This is why early action matters the longer negative articles accumulate authority unchallenged, the harder they become to displace.

Yes it is legal, and no it does not conflict with FINRA rules. A Record of Truth is a factual publication built exclusively from verified legal documentation - FINRA arbitration awards, dismissal letters, court orders, regulatory clearances. It makes no claims beyond what the documentation supports and does not alter, suppress or remove any existing content.

It is not a communication with the public about securities, does not solicit business, and is not a regulatory submission. It is a legitimate form of search-optimised publication, no different in principle from any other factual document produced to inform the public record. FamoRenovo does not provide legal advice on FINRA compliance and does not act as your supervising principal; if you have any concerns specific to your firm's communications policy, we recommend you confirm with your compliance team before commissioning.

No, and the two services are complementary rather than competitive. A Record of Truth does not interact with BrokerCheck. Removing or amending a BrokerCheck disclosure requires the FINRA Rule 2080 / Rule 12805 expungement process, which is handled by specialist FINRA counsel. FamoRenovo does not provide expungement services.

What FamoRenovo addresses is the surface that expungement does not reach: the news articles, trade publication coverage, third-party aggregator profiles and Google AI Overviews that make a customer dispute the dominant search result for an advisor's name even after a successful expungement. Many of our advisor engagements run alongside, or after, the expungement process - because the two address different problems.

Your Investment

Transparent, considered pricing

Every case is different. Our pricing reflects the genuine scope of work required - and nothing more.

We do not operate from a fixed price list. The investment for a Record of Truth is determined by the specific characteristics of your case: The volume and authority of existing coverage, the number of trade and press publications involved, the complexity of the FINRA arbitration or court record, and whether coverage is local, regional or national.

Each factor is assessed openly, so you understand precisely what drives the investment before any commitment is made. A fixed-price proposal is generated at the end of the commissioning process - not as an estimate, but as a guaranteed figure.

For most advisors, the total investment reflects the depth of research, legal documentation work, and the sustained technical optimisation required to achieve lasting search visibility for the outcome. A Record of Truth is independent of FINRA expungement and addresses the news coverage and search results that expungement does not reach.

What determines your investment

Monitoring and Maintenance

Included until page one. Then your choice.

Included as standard: Monitoring until page one

From the day your Record of Truth is published, FamoRenovo monitors its search ranking continuously and issues a formal written report each month. This is included in your build cost, at no additional charge. If your Record has not reached page one of Google within 90 days of publication, we continue working - at no further cost to you - until it does. The page one position is the baseline. What happens after that is your decision.

No maintenance
No additional cost

Your Record of Truth will hold its page one position for as long as its authority exceeds that of any competing content. For many cases - particularly those with limited existing coverage or a low-competition search landscape - this can be a considerable period without any intervention at all.

There is no obligation, no subscription and no further fee. Your Record is yours. What it cannot offer is active defence: if the landscape shifts, the position may slip, and recovering it will cost more than protecting it would have.

  • Page one achieved and verified
  • Monthly reports for first 3 months
  • Ongoing monthly ranking reports
  • Proactive optimisation
  • Reactive intervention if threatened

Suitable for low-competition search landscapes.

Annual Maintenance
15% of the standard build cost per year

Your page one position is actively monitored and defended throughout the year. As search algorithms evolve and the competitive landscape shifts, FamoRenovo makes proactive adjustments to sustain your Record's authority. If a competing publication gains ground, we respond before the position is lost.

Invoiced annually. Renew or cancel at each anniversary - there is no long-term commitment. The subscription activates only once your Record has reached page one.

  • Page one achieved and verified
  • Monthly ranking reports - ongoing
  • Proactive optimisation throughout
  • Reactive intervention if threatened
  • Permanent - renewal required annually

Renewable annually. No long-term lock-in.

Best value
Lifetime Maintenance
45% of the standard build cost - once

Everything in the annual subscription, permanently. One payment. No renewal decisions. No recurring fees. Your Record of Truth is monitored, optimised and defended for as long as it exists - with the full benefit of that protection holding indefinitely.

The outcome your case produced will continue to be the first thing found, for life - actively protected against anything that might seek to displace it.

  • Page one achieved and verified
  • Monthly ranking reports - permanent
  • Proactive optimisation - permanent
  • Reactive intervention - permanent
  • No recurring fees, ever

One payment. Protected for life.

The cost of not deciding

Search rankings do not stay still. A Record of Truth that achieves page one does so by outperforming every competing piece of content on relevance, authority and evidentiary quality. Those signals need periodic attention as algorithms evolve. A Record without maintenance will hold its position until something displaces it. When that happens, recovery is more intensive and more expensive than protection would have been - and in some cases requires a second or third Record to restore the authority the original achieved. The choice between the three options above is made once. The consequences of that choice run for as long as the Record exists.
